Cocciopesto is made by mixing powdered terracotta, binders and cement mortars. Colors are obtained by adding natural oxides, while marbling is made by hand mixing colors in a dough blend.
Then it’s rolled out, reinforced when shapes and sizes require it, and naturally dried.
After several manual smoothing steps, Cocciopesto looks uneven but likeable if touched because its surface is treated with oleo-repellent liquids and wax polished, achieving a unique sensuality.
Being hand made, it is possible to customize it in both shapes and colors, making it usable for any size of floor, tables and kitchen tops, bathrooms, basins, bathtubs and shower’s cladding.
